Self-Catering Short-Term Rentals in beautiful Marin County, California
Built in 1885, this historic rose-covered Dominican Victorian is said to be the first house ever built on Grand Avenue. Located in a safe, residential neighborhood of tree-lined streets and million-dollar homes in the heart of the exclusive Dominican District of San Rafael, this charming home now houses three separate, but equally delightful apartments. All of the apartments offer free digital phone calls throughout the United States and Canada, free high-speed wireless access, and free off-street parking. Included in the rates are all utilities and garden maintenance. The apartments have a three-day minimum booking. Weekly rates offer one night free vs. the three-night minimum -- pay for six nights, stay for seven! Stay for three weeks and get one week free -- pay for three weeks, stay for four!
In a moment of inexplicable whimsy, we named the apartments after the characters in Beatrix Potter's Tales of Peter Rabbit. Flopsy and Mopsy are filled with authentic Victorian detail including decorative Victorian fireplaces, chandeliers, tall windows, 10-foot ceilings, stained glass, and original moldings. Both are furnished with handsome period antiques. Each sleeps two to four people. Peter is a bit more modern in style; attractively and comfortably furnished -- think queen-size brass bed, a triple mirror dresser and a fire-engine red high-tech kitchen which will knock your socks off. Peter sleeps two to four people.
